Sugar Ridge offers guided walks three days a week, with two in the early morning and one late in the afternoon. With a different destination each walk, learn about local plants and experience Antigua off the beaten track. Vorn is our in-house guide and a famous local character.
Boggy Peak is a 3.5 hour strenuous hike to Antigua’s highest point to take in sweeping views. The Nature Walk is Vorn’s original hike through Orange Valley to Ffryes Beach where guests can expect to learn all about vegetation along the way. This is a 3 hour walk with moderate intensity. Or, take a 3 hour leisurely walking tour through the village of Bolans, see the old estate house, sample some rum, and perhaps even meet some of Vorn’s relatives!
Sugar Ridge is also partnered with Hike Caribbean to provide a unique vacation experience combining outdoor exploration with luxury, eco-friendly properties. Enjoy guided hikes on Antigua and five other Caribbean islands: Guadeloupe, Montserrat, Nevis, St. Kitts and St. Lucia. The Caribbean might be known for its beaches, but its peaks are not to be missed, either. For more information please visit Hike Cairbbean’s website.
