Hurricane Irma & Maria Update: Sugar Ridge is open for business and sustained no damage

I would like to extend our deepest gratitude and offer our heartfelt thanks to all of the people who have given their time to express concerns about Hurricane Irma and Maria. We are humbled and grateful.

As many are aware, Sugar Ridge was fortunate to experience no damage whatsoever as a result of both storms which skirted Antigua. Only tropical force winds were experienced at the resort. The power was quickly restored, the roads are in good shape and the airport is fully operational.

As previously planned, the resort is currently closed for our annual maintenance and will reopen October 6, 2017.

We are extremely grateful for all of the help, support and well wishes we have received.

Hurricane Irma and Hurricane Maria have been devastating to many of our Caribbean neighbours and our hearts go out to the many others who have suffered terrible damages and losses.

If you’re outside the affected area, there are options to provide support for those affected in this official government statement.

Respectfully,

Vernon A. Jeffers Sr.
General Manager
