The Best Yoga Space in the Caribbean

Guests of Sugar Ridge Resort can now enjoy free yoga in our brand new studio – The Shed! The Shed is possibly the best Yoga space in the Caribbean. They are now offering yoga 6 days a week, events every month and extra yoga with nomadic yogis.

“Because of our love for yoga we wanted our guests to connect with the beauty of Antigua,” said owner Aidan McCauley.

The new facility was built in December 2017 and January 2018 and features a raised platform is 22’ x 44’ (968 sf) and is made with Greenheart, a hardwood from a licensed renewable source in Guyana. It has been sanded, sealed and had 5 coats of varnish by a traditional Antiguan boat builder.

An oversize 30’ by 60’ wooden roof covers it all to protect guests from both rain and sun and is finished with Wallaba wood shingles with copper flashings.

Yoga is currently offered on Mondays at 8amWednesday at 9.30am, Thursday at 5.30pm, Friday at 8am and Saturday at 10am.
