Lyn has been practicing yoga for 20 years and teaching it since she moved to Antigua from the UK 15 years ago.
”Yoga is a big part of my life. I love introducing people to yoga and seeing their scepticism turn to amazement after just a few sessions. Once you’ve tried it – you’ll be hooked!”
Lyn trained in Yoga with the YMCA in London and with the Sivananda Yoga Centre in Trivandrum, India. She has studied Hatha, Sivananda, Ashtanga, vinyasa, hot and Jivamukti Yoga, which she combines in her classes depending on clients’ individual fitness, strength and flexibility levels.
Karen Brookes, founder of Passion De Danse, began dancing at the age of three and went on to represent her country. She studied at Trinity Laban Conservatoire in London, a leading school of contemporary dance, where she graduated with distinction. It was there that Karen studied Yoga and Pilates, initially to strengthen her core and to assist with injuries, but she soon discovered its beauty and was eager to share this with others. Karen has a vast experience in her field and constantly strives to better her services through workshops and training courses. As she says, “in learning and sharing this knowledge, one can create a union of one’s body and state of mind”

After her initial fascination with the asanas, she learned that the breath creates the strength and focus to guide them. So breathing techniques and meditation are an important part of her teaching.

With a background in boxing, martial arts, and life coaching, Owen’s yoga practice started around 6 years ago when he incorporated postures into his workouts and felt the benefits immediately. Soon he only did yoga and it led to Yoga Teaching training in India.
Owen says “Yoga allows me to breathe with an awareness that expands my trust and confidence to keep coming back to stillness, coming to my mat with a sense of passion, as a teacher, practitioner and a student.”
Owen’s classes feature exploration of the body mind connection, through feeling, breathing and allowing yoga to happen, with flowing sequences or poses which are held a little longer encouraging awareness to the present moment.
